Chanel Beads returns with the second iteration of Your Day Will Come, a completely new body of work that catalogues a significant sonic shift and evolution in the artist's sound, distinct from the 2024 breakthrough debut of the same name. This release showcases a more fleshed-out and structured approach across 14 songs, resulting from a collaborative process that embraced spontaneity and imperfections.

Raised in the suburbs of Minnesota, Lavers began crafting music as Chanel Beads in Seattle in 2016, initially collaging synthetic sounds and real instruments into songs averse to genre. By 2022, living in New York, tracks like “Ef” and “True Altruism” gained attention for their androgynous vocals, uncanny artifice, and stirring intimacy. The project has since progressed from intimate house shows to supporting Lorde on a North American arena tour.

This new iteration of Your Day Will Come layers more original parts and players into the mix. Violinist Zachary Paul features more prominently, though Lavers continues to manipulate plug-ins. The album also features the gossamer voice of Maya McGrory, who co-wrote the majestic track “Silver Cup.”
