Corinne Cléry, Michele Placido, Tom Skerritt, and Eli Wallach star in Plot of Fear (E tanta paura), a dark and perverse giallo thriller from director Paolo Cavara, known for Mondo Cane and The Black Belly of the Tarantula. Inspector Lomenzo (Placido) investigates a series of bizarre murders where pages from the German children’s book Shock-Headed Peter are left at the crime scenes. As the body count rises, Lomenzo is guided by a model (Cléry) and a surveillance expert (Wallach) toward a decadent club frequented by the elite.

Co-written by Bernadino Zapponi, a long-time collaborator of Federico Fellini (who also co-wrote Dario Argento’s Deep Red), this engrossing film also incorporates a specially produced erotic animation by Francesco Maurizio Guido aka Gibba.
