Description
Heroes is a studio album by The Midnight, pressed on translucent blue vinyl. It is the third album in a trilogy that began with Kids and continued with Monsters.
The album marks a sonic shift for the duo, who expanded their lineup with live musicians Lelia Broussard on bass, Royce Whittaker on guitar, and Justin Klunk on saxophone and synth. Broussard and Whittaker also worked on the album, produced by McEwan and mixed by Ingmar Carlson.
Standout songs include “Heartbeat”, with synth leads, echoing drums, layered vocal chants and an explosive chorus, and the propulsive, guitar-led “Change Your Heart or Die”.
