Description
UFO’s 1982 album Mechanix returns in a newly remastered deluxe CD edition. It features standout songs including “The Writer” and “Doing It All for You”, plus a newly mixed live recording from Hammersmith Odeon.
Recorded during a pivotal period in the band’s evolution, the album has since been reappraised by fans as a powerful, underrated entry in UFO’s catalogue. Its atmospheric closer, “Feel It”, rounds out a collection of driving rock songs.
The reissue was remastered at AIR Mastering and includes previously unreleased photographs and new liner notes by David Hann, drawing on interviews with Phil Mogg, Andy Parker and Neil Carter. The live performance, recorded at Hammersmith Odeon on 28 January 1982, was restored by producer Brian Kehew.
